New York – Saddened by the emergence of anonymous e-readers, a team of publishers at Slice magazine is highlighting what people are reading by documenting every book cover on their commute.
The book title and a description of the reader are posted on the CoverSpy website. One of CoverSpy’s latest discoveries is And Here’s the Kicker by Mike Sacks, which was being read by a girl in her 20s.
‘It’s always been fun to see what everyone’s reading around you – and it’s especially interesting how they’re not always the books that are making headlines at the moment,’ said Slice director Amy Sly. The initiative is a great example of harnessing the creativity of the crowd.
