London – In its forthcoming Trend Briefing in March, LS:N Global will be considering The Polarity Paradox, an examination of global demographic shifts, the rise of extreme trends and counter-intuitive behaviour.
With falling mortality and fertility rates, the world is ageing. One of the trends we are exploring is the Flat Age Society, a group of consumers aged over 50, whose increasing spending power and prominence means that brands should focus on them. Members of the Flat Age Society are technology-savvy, love luxury and want more from food than soft textures and vitamins.
For more, watch our preview video above, in which LS:N Global editor-in-chief and The Future Laboratory co-founder Martin Raymond discusses the highlights of the trend with LS:N Global senior journalist Sonia van Gilder Cooke.
