New York – Even the most devoted seasonal eaters may feel their enthusiasm flag in winter, when nature’s bounty is a bit less plentiful. Luckily, online food culture hub The Food Life has given winter produce a makeover.
Playing on the concept of seasonality in the fashion industry, The Food Life created a video that pairs the latest designer clothes with mouthwatering seasonal produce. Looks by brands such as Alexander Wang, Kenzo, Acne, Trademark and Adam Selman complement the organic beauty of romanesco, chilli peppers, watermelon radishes and candy cane beets.
In addition to the raw ingredients, the video features dishes by Laila Gohar, owner of Sunday Supper Catering. Pastel purple cauliflower soup, candy cane beet avocado toast, and a spiral vegetable tart appear almost as works of visual art paired with the designer clothes in the video.
