Quebec, Canada – Pornography site Pornhub has released its own sexercise workout app.

  • Pornhub developed BangFit as a way of negating the effects of sedentary urban lifestyles
  • The physical benefits of sex have long been lauded, even though young people are having less sex than ever before

BangFit can involve one, two or more players, with the aim of mimicking what they see on screen. According to research by the University of Quebec, on average, sex burns 4.2 calories a minute for men and 3.1 calories a minute for women, roughly half the number of calories lost on a treadmill.

Using the phone’s accelerometer, the game can figure out how well each player is performing, even giving a score at the end and a calculation of how many calories each has burned during the act. The microsite hosts a leader board of the world’s most active participants, and offers a breakdown of the best positions to try to work each muscle group.

The Big Picture

Pornography sites are no longer the no-go areas for brands they once were. Brands such as Diesel and JW Anderson are embracing the XXX Factor to show that sex still sells, but not in the same way it used to.
