Lima, Peru – Refusing to be constrained by the limitations of a tv screen, a new interactive installation creates an immersive space in which viewers can explore a televised scene inside and outside the frame.
In Frame Seductions, by Australian artist Pierre Proske, a camera-enabled screen tracks a viewer’s head movements and changes the perspective of the video on screen as he or she turns their head to the left or right. In doing so, the project gives viewers the chance to peer round the edges of a scene to see intriguing hidden moments. While the central image is more or less silent, the yet-to-be-revealed scenes play sound, in essence enticing viewers to crane their necks to see more.
The all-encompassing experience suggests new opportunities for brands keen to present a more engaging media offer.
