Melbourne – As science comes to the fore in cocktail-making, helping parties go off with a bang, our researchers are finding similar marketing ploys in the world of beer. Design student Zoran Konjarski from Melbourne’s RMIT has already spotted the trend and has created a blister pack for beer that reflects the quasi-scientific characteristics of this rising new marketing concept. ‘My concept for the bottle graphics was to move away from traditional beer graphics, and make the bottle design differentiate itself in the market by taking on an extreme modern and minimalist design,’ says Zoran.
This was achieved with an almost sterile design concept featuring Neue Helvetica Black typeface. A moulded blister pack with a rip-off plastic seal that contains all the legally required pack information creates a cool, scientific packaging style that allows the drinker to pop or push the bottles through. Genius.
