Digital Couture
A generation of designers and artists brought up in the digital age are embracing and employing machines and technological innovations. Their work celebrates the mechanical process and demonstrates that machines should not just be associated with the mass-produced, but can be used to create modern craft, creating intricate structures, shapes and textures that exceed the limitations of the hand. Craft and technology are no longer at polar opposites. The gap has been closed and technology has finally become beautiful.
