Belgium – A new ethical and sustainable fashion label called Honest by promises to be fully transparent about its products.
The brainchild of Belgian designer Bruno Pieters, formerly of Hugo Boss’ progressive Hugo label, Honest by pledges to tell customers exactly what their money is being spent on at every stage, from materials to mark-up. It also offers full disclosure of the production process, including where a product was made and by whom.
With a focus on organic, recycled and ethically sourced materials, Honest by supports animal welfare, and chooses not to use leather, fur, shell or horn.
Pieters told fashion site Women’s Wear Daily: ‘As a consumer, I like to know what I am investing in. There is total transparency with each level of production.’
