UK – Royal College of Art Innovation Design Engineering graduate Eunhee Jo has created New Tangible Interfaces, a home sound system that responds to hand gestures.
The interactive system responds to human touch, letting users control the volume, equalizer, fast forward and rewind functions with circular, sliding or probing hand movements.
‘The advantage of the tactile interface is that it enables people to experience a new level of tactility and flexibility in a 3D form,’ explains Eunhee Jo. ‘The design opens up a new wealth of possibilities for product-user interaction.’
