New stores are creating havens for consumers in a bid to strengthen their brand throughout the impending credit crises. The new J Crew store in the Tribeca district of New York is a prime example, located within a refurbished traditional liquor store, with an interior that embraces the heritage of the former off-licence, and stock that includes premium items, exclusive to the shop. J Crew has tapped into a slightly different consumer, dropping a generation in doing so, and embracing a more New Sobriety approach to their brand.
