Los Angeles – Online marketplace Etsy held a pop-up event at the West Elm store in Los Angeles last month in which local artisans were invited to present their products in-store, giving them a personal and physical presence.
Although consumers like to search online for products and deals, they still enjoy browsing in bricks-and-mortar stores, and online retailers and sellers are increasingly turning to physical stores to attract more customers, as we reported in our The Dawn of the Mega-systems macrotrend.
Curated by stylist and interior designer Emily Henderson, the event also encouraged artists from the Los Angeles area to meet one another and their customers to share ideas, creating a sense of community as well as support for local designers and creatives.
