London – A new service called Concoction enables customers to mix their own bespoke cosmetics and haircare products for an individual look.
Consumers can choose a base shampoo blend, which can then be mixed with two shots of concentrated serum. The DIY service offers a possible 256 blends, allowing customers to tailor products to their specific haircare needs.
‘We live in a world in which people are becoming accustomed to being involved in the curation and development of products,’ Alex Epstein, founder of Concoction, tells LS:N Global. ‘The beauty industry is starting to embrace the opportunity to give consumers new experiences, with products that can perfectly meet an individual’s unique needs.’
The service will be launched exclusively at Selfridges Oxford Street on 25 July for two weeks.
