Global – A new app from the founders of guided meditation platform Headspace aims to help children to become more mindful.

Members of Generation I, born between 2000 and 2010, are typically regarded as rowdy and restless. But what if there was a way to instil a sense of calm, focus and connection in their lives?

Headspace co-founder Andy Puddicombe believes that he has found the answer. Headspace for Kids offers a series of mindfulness exercises for children that are customised for three age groups – five and under, 6–8 years and 9–12 years.

‘It’s about creating a cultural shift in the way we think about health, nurturing the development of the mind and providing the foundations of health and happiness for an entire lifetime ahead,’ says Puddicombe.
