New York – A virtual model on a new interactive billboard in Times Square turns a person into a frog.
Communications agency Space150 has created the digital billboard for fashion brand Forever 21 that engages with the crowd. A virtual model takes a picture of the street and shows it to the crowd below. The model picks up an individual in the picture and kisses them, turning them into a frog. Those with yellow Forever 21 bags are the most likely to be picked out.
The interaction is made possible with the help of high-tech surveillance equipment and computer vision technology that identifies and maps the people in the crowd in real time. For more on how brands can interact with consumers depending on where they are, read our feature on Geo-marketing.
