VilaSofa

A 48-hour delivery turnaround is an obvious selling point for a brand, but it’s a curious candidate for design inspiration. A new furniture brand in the Netherlands, however, recently opened its showroom and store with just this concept at the heart of its design. VilaSofa, whose mid-range prices place it between Swedish furniture chain Ikea and higher-end designer-led brands, commissioned Amsterdam-based studio Tjep. to design its Barendrecht store environment; the result, which brings together elements of the warehouse and the home, is pared-down and playful at the same time.
