Amsterdam – Dutch design collective Droog, best known for its homewares and furniture, will unveil its first house at Design Miami next week.
A seamless flow of spaces, the Droog Townhouse, commissioned by Amsterdam housing association Ymere and designed by Tokyo-based Atelier Bow-Wow, uses raised platforms to distinguish between private and shared spaces.
The house will be furnished with classic products from the Droog archives, including the ‘Rag’ chair and ‘Milk bottle’ lamp by Tejo Remy, and the ‘Heat wave’ radiator by Joris Laarman. Home is where the art is.
