London – A new exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood focuses on sitting down.
Sit Down: Seating for Kids features over 70 examples of seating made for children, from school chairs to armchairs, saddles to swings, and highchairs to potties.
The exhibition, which runs between 6 February and 5 September, demonstrates how styles have changed over four centuries. As explored in our recent microtrend on Kidult spaces, the work on display, which includes classical pieces by Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld and British artist Peter Murdoch, will appeal to parents as well as children.
