Paris – Stripped back to basics, a high-end kids’ furniture shop has opened in an old garage. Offering unique objects in limited editions, the Serendipity store is far from being a junk clearance.
Instead, vintage furniture sits alongside contemporary design; the pieces look like a display of art objects. Playful colours such as bright pink and orange contrast with the minimal space. Founders Elisa de Bartillat and Laurence Simoncini also create their own items, such as lamps, bed-linen and faux-fur rugs. We explored intergenerational appeal in our recent microtrend on Kidult spaces; the Serendipity shop will appeal to parents and children alike.
