Harmondsworth, UK – Taking inspiration from classic British luxury car brands Aston Martin and Jaguar, British Airways has unveiled its new First cabin.
When other airlines are scaling down first-class suites, BA is going the opposite way, spending £100m upgrading its first-class offer with lie-flat beds, wardrobes and leather-bound writing desks that convert into tables. Personally controlled lighting and electronic blinds can be modified to reflect the passenger’s mood and the time of day.
The airline has used British actress Rachel Weisz to promote a classic, sleek design that harks back to luxury travel in the 20s. To see more on how brands are drawing on heritage in their design, read our Luxury Market report.
