London – In its forthcoming Trend Briefing in March, LS:N Global will be considering The Polarity Paradox, an examination of global demographic shifts, the rise of extreme trends and counter-intuitive behaviour.
The main macrotrend of the Trend Briefing, The Polarity Paradox of the title, documents a new social shift in the preferences of consumers, who are moving towards more extreme experiences. In this U-Turn Society, consumers are living extreme lifestyles, such as doing a juice cleanse one week and eating a carnivorous paleo feast the next.
Watch the preview above to see The Future Laboratory co-founder Martin Raymond and LS:N Global senior journalist Peter Firth discuss how The Polarity Paradox can change the way that brands address consumers.
For more, see the previews of the other macrotrends, the Flat Age Society and the Convergence Economy that we will be featuring on 19 March 2014.
