London – At our Youthquake II Network Evening, held at The Future Laboratory HQ last week, LS:N Global reporter Rowland Manthorpe spoke to professional YouTuber Oakley Glynn-Jones about why he chose YouTube over a graduate scheme and how to speak to his peers.
Glynn-Jones, 22, also known as Oakelfish on YouTube, has more than 116,000 subscribers on his channel. On a daily basis he creates content, edits his own videos and interacts with fans on social media. For brands that want to enlist a large following on YouTube, Glynn-Jones advises them to have real people who are characters in and of themselves. Teens will spot a poser from a mile away.
