Kiev, Ukraine – A new app, Nod, enables smartphone users to send anonymous messages to other users in their local area.
- Users can connect to anyone in their area
- App does not require authorisation or social media profile information
Created by Andrew Litvin, Andrew Volovyk, Dima Pilipenko and Artem Pochepetsky, the anonymous application facilitates discussions between strangers without them needing to have each other’s details. Using the app, consumers can check how many Nod users are in the local area and ask them questions, share thoughts or organise events.
‘We live in a new era and face-to-face meetings are not the most important ones any more,’ a spokesperson for Nod tells LS:N Global. ‘Sharing your thoughts and ideas with people outside your social circle is our app’s main mission.’
The Big Picture: While this app aims to encourage digital connections, it has the potential for people to connect and meet in real life too. Find out how other digital platforms are encouraging face-to-face interactions by reading our Stranger Liaisons microtrend.
