UK – Printing company Moo has created a customisable, digitally enabled business card.
- The next handshake and exchange of cards could reveal more than a name and email address
- The business card is finally being upgraded as part of Moo’s Paper+ NFC-enabled business stationery
Thanks to the embedded NFC chip, Business Cards+ can save contact details directly to the user’s smartphone or be programmed to reveal a website link, connect to social networks or promote an app.
Using the Manage Paper+ dashboard, owners can see exactly who has interacted with their details, and because the function of each card can be changed at any time, there is no need for the Business Cards+ to suffer the same fate as those that become outdated.
The Big Picture: Business cards have survived the digital age because meeting new contacts demands physical interaction. Find out more about the intersection of physical and digital experiences in our Awakening Tech macrotrend.
