New York – Adidas has invited some of the fitness world’s biggest influencers on a night run with a difference.
- Adidas encouraged its customers to explore another side of the city that never sleeps
- Influencers including running coach Robin Arzón and dancer Ally Love were invited on a 5km test of adidas’s Ultra Boost running shoe
Any fair weather runners expecting a relaxing press event may have left disappointed, as adidas forced participants to reach their physical limits. Beginning at the Adidas Sport Performance store in SoHo, Energy Running included an arduous seven-storey climb of Manhattan’s New Museum and a 200-metre time trial.
The run did have its perks, however, with a quick stop to watch a Bruce Springsteen cover band perform Born to Run and celebratory mocktails at an upmarket Italian restaurant.
‘Energy Running is all about creating your own path and drawing energy from your surroundings, so New York is the perfect place for this experience,’ says Ashley Czarnowski, senior manager US running brand communications for adidas.
