Istanbul – Bisou, billed as the world’s first customisable digital necklace, enables wearers to get creative with the design on their pendant through an accompanying app.
: Users can upload a picture or GIF to the device, or choose from thousands of free curated designs
: Bisou will be launched on crowdfunding website Indiegogo in August 2016
Once the app has finished downloading, the user’s phone is matched with the necklace, which also doubles as a magnetic pin, through a special security code. Users can take pictures using the app, which can be uploaded to the necklace, and can also buy designs from their favourite artists.
The possibilities for customisation are essentially limitless. A user might film a rainbow to show their support for an LGBT cause, or swap out their design several times each day to reflect their mood. ‘We are moving GIFs from online to offline, with the aim of transforming street fashion,’ founder Güney Köse explained in a statement.
The Big Picture
