Copenhagen – Say goodbye to long to-do lists – a new time management tool will help you get on top of things by visualising your time.
‘Daily Stack’ is a project by designers Sebastian Rønde Thielke and Anders Højmose, featuring a series of wooden bricks in different colours. Each colour represents a different task and the time interval is determined by the size of the block.
‘By observing a user working from home we found that it was hard for them to manage their time and not spend it on websites such as Facebook and YouTube, or shopping on eBay,’ says Højmose. ‘By adding a brick to the base the user commits to the task and the timespan that the selected brick represents.’
The base for the bricks contains electronics and communicates with a computer, allowing users to monitor their time. For more on how to add playful designs to everyday tasks, read our Dreamtelligence trend report.
