Zürich – Design duo Sarah Kueng and Lovis Caputo are encouraging viewers to take an active role in the world of design. Their Deliver Takeaway minivan project enables the public to answer questions such as ‘Is there something the designer should embrace?’, or ‘Do you miss something that has existed in the past? – and stick them on a post-it note on the van.
‘We think most people can think of items that could be better designed or that are missing in their daily life,’ Kueng and Caputo tell LS:N Global. ‘So a dialogue between designers and users should be the basis of our work. There is nothing wrong in offering input to the specialists. Don’t keep your ideas to yourself.’
People are now invited to post ideas on their website as well. Between 19 June and 1 July, the project will be part of the ‘Switzerland: Design for Life’ exhibition in London.
