Global – Bazillion Beings has launched lifos, a new generation of independent service bots.
: Lifos curate online content, play multiplayer games and collaboratively share data, among other features
: The number of active lifos depends on the demand for each one’s existence
These ‘independent online life forms’ are designed to provide a variety of services to users, across devices and social media platforms, which the company says cuts out the need for multiple, single-use apps. The lifos can simply recommend music to people based on their preferences, point them to sites that might be of interest or even recommend people that they should meet, all without sharing private data.
Bazillion Beings wants each lifo to use interaction with users and machine-learning algorithms to adapt to a user’s or a group’s needs.
Bots that can monetise their services enough to cover costs will survive, those that make excess revenues will be cloned, while those that are no longer useful will be discontinued.
The Big Picture
How successfully artificial intelligence can interact with people and be more human remains a subject of debate. For more, see our macrotrend The E-motional Economy.
