Paris – South Korean designer Juun J is redefining masculinity in fashion. For his Spring 2011 menswear show, he has used a clever combination of tailoring and draped pieces to create a futuristic and androgynous look.
Sharp suit jackets with bold structures join billowing outer pieces that are dropped from the shoulder. The collection also includes the designer’s signature double-rider jackets in various lengths as well as dropped-crotch leggings.
Following a period in which menswear has returned to a traditional masculine look, designers are beginning to challenge this with a more androgynous aesthetic.
