Munich – We have seen gloves that enable people to interact with a computer screen using hand gestures and a tap controlled by ‘meaningful gestures’. Now Lunar design agency has created another example of how consumers will use gestures in the future, the Gesture Remote.
‘Accessing content beyond standard tv channels – from on-demand video to social networks – requires a higher level of interactivity and a whole new breed of remote control,’ explain the designers. To operate the remote control unit users hold it and gesture with their fingers, instead of clicking a button. Each function has a particular gesture associated with it. For Zoom, for instance, it is an upward gesture and browsing requires a scrolling motion.
