On the Dot: Nokia becomes animated for N8

London – Finnish mobile phone supplier Nokia is promoting its N8 phone through a 9mm high character called Dot.

London-based advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy is behind the animation, which is shot on the N8’s 12 megapixel camera. Dot is seen running on normal sized objects such as coins as well as flying on a bumblebee.

Created through a CellScope, an attachment that transforms a mobile phone camera into a microscope, the character entered the Guinness World Records as the smallest stop-motion animation character in a film.
