Tokyo – Japanese brand Muji has released three apps for the iPad – a calendar, notebook and travel companion. The red and black colours and illustrations fit perfectly with the minimalist Muji design.
The notebook app features handwriting recognition and predictive text input that enable users to take notes and sketch. When a user writes his or her name or sketches a sock as in the above video, the font remains true to the minimalist Muji-style. At $4 this app is the only one that users have to pay for. The calendar and Muji to Go travel app are free and provide users with a world clock, time zone differences, weather information and a calculator.
This is a great example of how a brand can create branded content.
