Stockholm – The Åker Collective wants to bridge the gap between designer and customer with its Take ‘n’ Make lighting collection, unveiled at the Stockholm Furniture Fair.
The lamps can be assembled by the user, who can choose from a range of parts including paper shades, wooden tripods and different coloured cords. The lamps can also be constructed in various sizes.
‘We want to inspire designers and consumers to collectively create more valuable products, both functionally and emotionally,’ designer Linus Ström tells LS:N Global.
LS:N Global’s Design It Yourself Inspire further explores how designers are engaging with consumers.
