Austin, Texas – New smartphone app FanTrail, on show at SXSW, enables artists to connect with and reward their most dedicated fans using gamification.
Fans can download a customised app for their favourite artists on iPhone or Android smartphones. The app enables them to check in at events, buy music and even send money directly to the artist. In return, the fan is rewarded with points on a LoveMeter.
Artists can use the LoveMeter to track their most loyal fans and reward them with personalised voice messages, new songs, concert tickets or meet-and-greet opportunities. Artists can also see where their fans are. They can send messages to all their fans at once, groups of fans by location, or even individual fans.
