New York – A French lifestyle jeweller is using an oyster shell design to draw attention to its precious products. Luxury brand Mauboussin’s first flagship store in the US will use an interior design which aims to focus customers’ attention on the small individual items on display. Magnifying glasses over the precious products help customers connect with the items.
Designed by the Rockwell Group, the converted townhouse store will use themes of fantasy and surrealism to draw the customer into a sense of wonder upon entering. ‘We wanted to transform the 19th-century townhouse into an experimental environment that would create powerful connections between the customer and the jewellery,’ explains David Rockwell, founder of the Rockwell Group.
