New York – American music director Chris Milk has created an interactive film for Rome – a collaborative project by musician Danger Mouse and Italian composer Daniele Luppi.
The 3 Dreams of Black film was created with the help of Google, and serves as a testament to the power of their Chrome web browser. Technological advances within Google Chrome enable 3D graphics to be produced in the browser without a plug-in.
The video allows the user to navigate a 3D landscape, generating animated visuals linked to the position of the cursor. Three separate landscapes can be explored and, at the end of the experience, the user can themselves generate animated objects, which will then be embedded in the ‘dream’ for other viewers.
