Global – Nike+, the sports brand’s online running tracker, has launched the FuelBand, a wristband that tracks calories burned and steps taken.
The wristband uses an accelerometer to record activity and movement. It then translates this information to a fitness index called NikeFuel. The more activity users engage in the more NikeFuel they earn.
FuelBand users can set daily targets on their iPhones or computers and watch their progress as a set of LED lights change from red to green as they achieve their goal.
