Sydney – Content production agencies Publicis Mojo and Finch have teamed up with Mobile Projection Unit to create a project called Snake the Planet, which projects the classic Snake game onto buildings.
The technology maps the surface onto which the game will be projected, and features such as windows or doors become obstacles in the maze. The project is moveable and so any building or wall can be mapped and used as a playing surface.
This is a simple way of repurposing projection technology, to turn the built environment into a game. For more on how game mechanics are changing the way we interact with the world, read our Ubiquitous Gaming Culture macrotrend.
