New York – Clothing brand Engineered Garments is promoting its spring/summer 2012 collection with a short film that merges two models with lo-fi graphics, in a process known as data moshing.
As the models pose while wearing the clothes, they emerge and disappear with different patterns in the background, while remnants of the patterns appear stuck to the models’ clothes and faces.
This is a great example of a brand tapping into the current nostalgia for the early aesthetic of the web, a movement explored further in our Netstalgia macrotrend.
