London – Performance artist and television presenter Brendan Walker hosted the first Global Design Forum on 18 September as part of the London Design Festival.
The event was held at the new Central Saint Martins College campus in King’s Cross – the building is so recent that it has yet to be added to Google Maps. Key players from the world of design came together at the forum to discuss the industry’s current concerns and priorities for the future. Speakers included director of Heatherwick Studio, Thomas Heatherwick, architect Zaha Hadid, Fuseproject’s Yves Béhar, Google’s Dr Astro Teller and designer Tom Dixon.
LS:N Global spoke to Sir John Sorrell, chairman of London Design Festival, about the subjects discussed at the event and his view of international design. Watch the above video for more details.
