UK – Cider brand Strongbow has created a RFID bottle cap that interacts with the world around it.
StartCap, which is still at conceptual level, is designed to interact with its environment when it is lifted off the bottle. The brand is crowdsourcing the best way to use the idea via Facebook, but the film that the brand has released to promote StartCap hints that the technology could be used for anything from toasting bread to launching a space shuttle.
