New York – A group of Manhattan and Brooklyn locals have created Citydoping NYC, a new app that is a personalised guide to New York.
Designed to give users the feeling of having a well-informed group of friends in the city, the app gives people with a selection of restaurants, bars, shops and other must-sees in which the group have hung out and deemed as ‘dope’, meaning ‘good’.
The app provides pictures of each place listed, along with a map and the reasons why it is so special. Being a personalised guide, it aims to show visitors to New York the places that tourist guides do not feature, therefore creating a more localised experience.
Brands are now creating bespoke media messages and platforms for their audiences. For more on this, read our Transmedia Futures Insight.
