Milan – German designer Aiko Telgen demonstrated his latest lighting project at Milan Design Week.
His new lamp, Ion Two, features glass cylinders lit by ionised gas, creating a plasma-like substance within the lights. The plasma appears to move towards people and objects that come close to it, giving the lighting sensory and tangible qualities.
The piece is designed so that the cylinders can be stacked together, creating a single focal point, or separated, so that the lights can be scattered about.
