Sopot, Poland – Artists have redesigned each of the seven bedrooms in a new boutique hotel, adding a personal touch to the design hotel experience. The LALALA hotel in Sopot has given free rein to the talents of Polish artists such as Jakub Rebelka and Iwona Cybula, and these have created an entirely different interior and design for each room. At €45 to €80 a night, the experience is highly affordable.
Many hotels, such as the Boundary in London, are now calling on designers and artists to remake and re-imagine individual rooms, avoiding the generic interiors and predictable expectations that characterise many overnight stays. The design hotel is moving swiftly towards a more personal boutique experience that allows guests to experience the tastes and creations of diverse talents.
