Amsterdam – To celebrate its 108th anniversary, iconic furniture brand Herman Miller enlisted the help of Dutch animators Part of a Bigger Plan to create an animation that gives viewers a whistle-stop tour of its achievements – all in 108 seconds.
Key places, people and products are revisited using simply drawn imagery, including the Molded Plywood Chair, the Noguchi table and the Action Office modular office cubicle design. The pacy animation is set to a score that is reminiscent of an old spy series.
This is a great example of a brand creating a mythology around its history using engaging animation. For more on how brands are creating campaigns centred on their own history, read our Faction Marketing macrotrend.
