Quickie with strangers: App makes hooking up easy

22 : 08 : 2013 Gender : Sex App : Dating App

New York – There is no shortage of online dating sites, and most cater to people looking for relationships. But what if you just want sex and you want it now? Pure is a forthcoming sex app that will let users know who in the area is up for some casual fun at that very moment.

The app’s sleek interface does away with any formality or euphemism surrounding casual sex. Users input their gender, the gender they are seeking, what they want and whether they are willing to host or to travel; a list of users in the area then pops up. Simply scroll through the pictures, select ‘Okay’ or ‘No Way’ and users will be linked – from there, they can quickly arrange to meet. All unfulfilled request are deleted after an hour.

‘I’m intrigued by Pure’s model and want to see it take its place as a new modality among the age-old ways we meet, experience erotic attraction, and connect,’ says Carol Queen, a renowned advocate of the sex-positive movement and adviser for Pure.

Pure is not the first app to facilitate fast sex, but it certainly is the slickest. To learn more about men and women and their changing views towards sex, book a place at XX v XY, LS:N Global’s autumn/winter Trend Briefing.
