Milan, Italy – Luxury house Prada has collaborated with AMO, the Dutch research studio counterpart to architecture firm OMA, to create a graphically surreal fashion video for its autumn/winter 2013 collection.
A continuation of Prada’s Real Fantasies campaign, the video features a disruptive, hyper-real world, with jolting jazz and cut-out imagery. Models are seen performing mundane domestic tasks amidst a lingering, sinister atmosphere.
‘Characters perform in a world of distorted normality,’ says Prada. ‘Urbanity and a mysterious domestic ambience merge in a sequence of stories where simplicity is observed as the ultimate form of perfection.’
The fashion video follows LS:N Global’s Futurist Montage design direction, which sees designers using overlaying images, and collage aesthetics, to create an eccentric visual statement.
