Paris – An animated billboard is bringing a fresh idea to outdoor advertising. The billboard, covered with sheets of A3 paper that flutter in the breeze, is a promotional tool for the new A3 inkjet printer by Brother – and a fine example of design that interacts with its environment. Created by Grey Paris and JCDecaux Innovate, the billboard is made up of 90 sheets of paper printed using the new MFC-6890CDW printer.
The kinetic quality of the billboard in the 15th arrondissement makes a change from the static format of most printed advertisements, and is part of a growing trend of design in which the environment and the public may participate.
