Eindhoven, Netherlands – Dutch graduate designer Anna van der Lei has created a bath in a wardrobe, inspired by Finnish saunas and communal dressing rooms. The Badkast project, shown as part of the Design Academy Eindhoven exhibition, consists of a wooden closet with doors that open on each side, and a base composed of a bath.
As we reveal in our report on Homestead 3.0 – in which we consider the future home – the personal spa is increasingly a popular choice for householders. Spaces such as the bathroom will develop into places for pampering and even health diagnosis, as we cater for our wellbeing at home.
