London – Boutique electronics brand Hulger has launched Plumen 001, a new low-energy lightbulb.
The bulb’s unique twisting design gives it a sculpted presence ‘rather than hiding the unappealing traditional compact fluorescent light behind boring utility’, explains Nik Roope of Hulger. The Plumen bulb uses 80% less energy and lasts eight times longer than incandescent bulbs.
The Plumen 001 features two symmetrical swerving lines. As the bulb twists, it gives an impression of a change in design. The bulb was developed in collaboration with product designer Sam Wilkinson, and Plumen 002 and 003 models are already in the pipeline.
